Publisher's Synopsis
Although they are poems, they tell a story. The story of how I went from a typical low life drug addict in and out of abusive relationships, mourning the death of my dearest, most best friend to a successful single mother raising one of the best, caring, amazing little boys.
Although it wasn't easy, and it was a constant battle, you'll see as you read these poems, each and every obstacle I had overcome just made me that much stronger and wiser. I may regret a lot of the hurtful things I have done to my family, but I do not regret the learning experiences, instead I cherish every moment and thank God that I am alive today and able to raise my son and give him the happy healthy life full of love that he deserves.
I hope that these poems are able to help other women who are dealing with similar struggles, let them see that they are not alone and there are ways to get help, get out of that lifestyle whether it be drugs, abusive relationships, family struggles, whatever it may be. Just remember it is never to late, there is always help, and you just have to hold on to faith. One day you will be able to finally break free.
