The three sutras of the Buddha's legacy are the last testimony of the Buddha, and are the guidelines for the life and practice of the monks and lay people. There is no difficult theory, but the practice method is very concisely taught, and the text is simple and easy to recite, and it is also especially suitable for beginners to learn Buddhism. Forty-two Chapter Sutras, Buddha Legacy Sutras, and Eight Da Renjue Sutras have their contents in common and are suitable for reference and practice. They are generally collectively referred to as Buddha Sutras. In the three prefaces of this book, Master Shengyan clearly pointed out the importance of these three sutras.
