Publisher's Synopsis
It is the eve of the millennium and the King's Theatre Company is in final preparations for the annual Christmas presentation. Production troubles are causing headaches for theatre's owner/director and are compounded by the sudden announcement that the local council is not renewing the lease. The theatre is to be pulled down to make way for a luxury apartment block. Following the different paths of the actors during the time of the annual pantomime, stories of love, deceit and scandals are revealed as the show goes on. With the shocking revelations that come from an American's visit to the King's Theatre and the advances of a well-known local businessman to destroy the one-hundred-year-old building, all of the stories come crashing together in a race to save the King's before the bulldozers move in.
