The onlv other subject to which we need advert is the status of the proceedings on the part of the United States Government to procure the ownership and control of our improvement.
As stated in our last report, the result of the appeal by the United States to the U. S. Circuit Court from the award of the viewers appointed to assess the value of Lock and Dam No. 7. Resulted in a practical confirmation of the action of the viewers. By an award of made bv the Court. Which was only less than the amount awarded to the Company by the viewers. From this finding of the Circuit Court. This Company took an appeal to the Supreme Court of the United States, which has not yet come up for hearing in that tribunal. And probablv will not for a couple of years.
