The total expenditures for all school purposes in the State for the year ending July 31, 1920, were which was an increase oi over the total amount spent for public school pur poses during the preceding year, which 15 an increase of per cent. In the expenditures for school purposes. Only a small part of this increase was for buildings, grounds, Or debt service, practically all of it being for current expenses.
