Excerpt from Fifth Annual Report of the Executive Committee of the Presbyterian Historical Society: Presented to the Society, May, 1857
Art. 2. The objects of this Society shall be to collect and preserve the rials, and to promote the knowledge of the History of the Presbyterian Chu the United States of America.
Art. 3. Any branch of the Presbyterian Church, whose admission 'sh approved by the Society at its annual meeting, shall the same. The branches now constituting the SO Church whose General Assembly met in the First York City, in one thousand eight hundred and Church whose General Assembly met in the Pres Square in New York City, in one thousand eight Associate Reformed Church, the As formed Presbyterian Church.
