FATHER OF BASTARDS The Father of Bastards is a collection of poems from the writer%u2019s life experiences. The writer sees life from different scopes and expressed it in his own terms in a poetic form. It covered the areas like social cultural beliefs, environmental influences, feelings, emotions, views and opinions. Done mostly in African backgrounds for culture reservation and educational advancement, this work was intended to bring out the culture of the people before and even after colonialism. It strikes the stings of culture, thereby bringing to memories of those stories told by our fore-parents, and the wishful desires of even having the receding culture of the people brought forward into this ever-changing generation. The motivation was usually the desire to express oneself freely, which is not easily done in any other form of writing except the poetic form. That is the joy of saying something mean in a caricature.
