What is in store for the crew of the United Earth Ship Dauntless as they embark on the first exploratory mission outside of our solar system using the newly developed Alcubierre Warp Drive. The crew of 12 represents 10 countries and includes a remarkably sophisticated AI named Harriet. The training of the mission includes some unique team building exercises specifically designed for an international crew with a representation of nearly every spiritual belief on the planet earth. And what could inspire someone to leave everything and everyone they know and love to travel for two years into completely unknown and potentially life threatening interstellar space. Each crew member has a past that includes some type of traumatic event, and the ship's counselor is faced with helping each one of them confront the meaning of their past with the discoveries that they encounter. Join the crew as they discover the true nature of dark energy and find the answer to the primary questionsasked by humans for all time. Are we alone in the universe? How did the universe begin?
