Publisher's Synopsis
When you read stories in the Bible, what do you hear? Maybe you hear the children playing or fighting. Or possibly the dog is barking, and you can't hear yourself think. Maybe highway noises or a firetruck siren is heard. There are likely innumerable answers to this question. But when I read Bible stories, I hear people in the background of the story talking, laughing, shouting, and arguing. I see trees, rocks, animals, and houses.
During 2018 I began studying the Bible, God's Word, in more depth than ever before. My studies in the Bible began in II Samuel and concluded in II Kings at that time. As I read many times, my mind wandered as I thought of the people, situations, countryside, cities/towns, etc. I wonder about their daily lives and what they did on a day-to-day basis. And, so, what follows is my collection of some historical fiction stories gleaned from my mind's eye. I trust that you will enjoy this escape into my imagination, and maybe this will inspire you to think more about the background of what's happening in the Bible events you read.
