Publisher's Synopsis
Falling Leaves is a short story anthology where the author mixes fiction with stories from his own life. The themes range from sweet contemplation during a Southern rain to grappling with a life spent on a Roman battlefield, wondering when the end will come. You'll also visit Pompeii during Mount Vesuvius' eruption, and spend a couple days trying to connect with a hard scrabble depression era grandparent. You'll also visit a sandlot where football was king, journeying with Dan as he contemplates his last game. You'll even meet the author's father, and watch as they attempt to reconnect by playing a video game.
These are some of the stories presented, designed to make the reader think about their own life, and maybe, for a short time, feel, going somewhere else, if even for a little while.
