Faith Development pertains to the developmental capacity for faith as meaning-making. As such, it provides identity and is considered a basic stage developmental theory in the area of human development. It also leads to maturity. The growth and development of the nation of Israel and the Church, as set forth in Scripture, are analyzed from a faith development perspective.
