Publisher's Synopsis
This is a memoir to show how the very many events and experiences in my life have shaped me and how I draw on them to help me in my daily tussles with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).
It is a self-opinionated, intensely personal reflection of where and how I am, and how I came to be here, from birth to now. It is about me. It does not pretend to be an exhaustive text on treating FND, indeed how could it be? Nor is it an unique experience, as there are many others who also have a diagnosis, and probably more who are undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. FND is a real disorder of the whole person, mind and body. FND Hope is a global patient-led charity with a mission to support persons affected by FND, and to lift the blanket of general ignorance that surrounds the disorder through education and advocacy.
