Publisher's Synopsis
Exploring Parables in Luke seeks to use parables to help international theology students grow in their understanding of the Bible and the English language. The text includes parables from different cultures, each of which will be paired with a different parable of Jesus. Utilizing the principles of the communicative language-learning classroom, communication of meaning, rather than recitation of memory, will guide the lessons of the textbook. This emphasis on communication will be cultivated through a focus on each of the four language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Each avenue of communication will be utilized and refined, as students seek both to express and process theological content.
