Publisher's Synopsis
This book is designed to accompany introduction to General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry. First chapter summarizes the synthesis and biological activities of Schiff bases and their complexes. Second chapter describes some general aspects of the C-F bond and the various conformational effects associated with C-F bonds (i.e. dipole-dipole interactions, charge-dipole interactions and hyperconjugation). Third chapter presents all the substances already described in this oleoresin, together with structures and activities of its main terpenoids. Fourth chapter presents all the substances already described in this oleoresin, together with structures and activities of its main terpenoids. Fifth chapter provides an overview of our current understanding of the chemical and biological diversity of BVOC emissions into the atmosphere. Sixth chapter is a review of the Condamineeae tribe, through the acquisition of data from phytochemical studies and evaluation of genera activities that constitute the tribe, in order to contribute to chemotaxonomic classification of this tribe in the Rubiaceae family. This chapter also states the scarcity of phytochemical investigations of several genera and consequently a lot of species of family. In seventh chapter, after a short review of the importance and mechanism of light olefin oligomerization, the use of ionic liquids as solvents and catalysts in oligomerization reactions is presented. The effect of the composition of ionic liquids on the catalytic activity and selectivity is discussed in detail. Last chapter provides an overview of the current understanding of the silk fibers' structure taken advantage of these analytic methods, then describe in detail the structure-property relationships and the formation processes of silk fiber. Additionally, we will explore material morphologies and applications of these silk fibers.
