Publisher's Synopsis
Those who grow up on foreign soil are distanced from their roots. As a result, they adopt the ways and culture of the country where they reside. I have been through such cultural and linguistic alienation. I was distanced from Bengali and had adopted Urdu. Childhood has a strong influence upon s person, and I still find myself writing poetry in Urdu besides English and my own mother language, Bengali. I can write in all three languages, but here I have used the Roman Alphabet to convey my thoughts to my readers, for I had in mind all those people who speak Urdu but cannot read or write the same. I hope it appeals to my readers for I have more where this came from and I hope to continue sharing my thoughts.
