Publisher's Synopsis
A 3 volume set comprising 34 articles exploring host-parasite systems in plants, and intended for researchers, teachers and students in the field. The first volume describes and critically analyzes advanced physico-chemical and molecular biological techniques in plant pathological research, and focuses on host-parasite interaction and the identification of pathogens. Volume 2 covers the pathogenesis of the host-parasite specificity in different groups of diseases, although generalized conclusions cannot be drawn because of the wide variety of basic interaction mechanisms. The third volume covers this specificity in relation to host-parasite incompatibility and induced resistance.
