Bacteriology of the blood in a form of endocarditis less severe than the type commonly called subacute bacterial endocarditis. And in manycases milder even than those commonly recognized as 'mple endocarditis. Promised at that time to tish an account of the characteristics of the organisms recovered. And their action on ani mals. In the pursuit of this work we were hampered greatly-by the special conditions made necessary by the exigencies of the war. Particularly in regard to the depletion of the staff of the laboratory in response to the call to overseas service; Many phases of the work. Therefore, have been allowed to remain untouched until time permits of their further investigation: but suffi cient data are at hand to' warrant the publication of our findings.
