Publisher's Synopsis
With the rapid development in modern control theory, control engineers have faced an increasing challenge in selecting an appropriate control law for their applications and in implementing it with a high performance. This book provides a systematic treatment of the state-of-the-art information technology for solving these problems. The first part of the book deals with computational intelligence, and in particular genetic algorithm based evolutionary programming, for control systems design, and the second part with systolic/wavefront array and heterogeneous transputer network based parallel processing techniques for implementation. A special emphasis is placed on neural networks.
