This is a new translation of the Psalms for singing, with close reference to the Hebrew. It was prepared with especial reference to Reformation and post-Reformation translations. The Geneva Bible, the Authorised Version, T &J Latin, the Dutch Statenvertaling, the Welsh Bible and the Septuagint were compared and used in its preparation. By using a single metre throughout, the Psalms can easily be sung through in a year (365 portions). This Expanded Version includes extensive notes on the text, explaining translation decisions, with helpful appendices on key words and help to sing the Psalms. Audio files are on the website. It can be used independently, or with 'A Help for using the Psalms in Personal and Family Worship', which gives daily devotional comment on the same 365 portions
