Publisher's Synopsis
This title describes how the activity of system commissioning is dealt with in six European countries - France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Italy and Denmark - focusing on procedures for air water system balancing rather than detailed consideration of controls or plant items. It finds that in the countries examined commissioning is not given the same level of importance as it is in the UK. The only countries in which specialist commissioning companies exist in any numbers are Germany and Holland. In most cases commissioning is the responsibility of the installation contractor. The book also discusses the reasons why commissioning is relatively more important in the UK.
