They cover both the toxicological substantiation of threshold values for chemicals at the workplace (MAK and BAT values) and the suitable monitoring methods. For more than 20 of the most important occupational toxicants, the documentations for the established BAT values (Biological Tolerance Values) and EKA (Exposure Equivalents for Carcinogenic Substances) as well as for further biological exposure values were selected for this special volume.
