Publisher's Synopsis
My grandmother practiced witchcraft, and her influence bound me like invisible chains, weighing heavily on my spirit. But this is not a story of surrender to darkness-it is a testimony of God's grace, strong enough to break even the most formidable chains of the devil. With His help, I escaped Satan's grasp and found salvation in Christ. This is not about human willpower but about the miraculous work of God when I stood at the edge of despair.
My father's mother was deeply entrenched in witchcraft, leaving behind a legacy of spiritual oppression that followed me throughout my youth. Her presence haunted me, both in dreams and in waking moments. I often saw her in my dreams as a black python or a wolf, chasing but never reaching me. Yet, an unseen force shielded me from harm. At the time, I did not recognize it, but that shield was God's presence-stronger than any threat the devil could conjure.
For years, I lived in spiritual bondage, believing my chains were unbreakable. When I reached my breaking point, Satan confronted me directly. For three consecutive nights, he tormented me, crushing my soul with his oppressive presence. Desperate, I called upon Jesus, declaring, "In the name of Jesus, evil spirits, depart from me." In that moment, the weight lifted, and Satan retreated. That was my first step toward freedom-a step only God could make possible.
Even before my birth, God had a plan for my life. Generations earlier, my mother's grandfather gave his life for Christ, and his faith echoed through time. The spiritual battle between light and darkness did not end with his death but continued within our family. My grandmother's involvement in witchcraft fueled this struggle, fostering sinful desires in me. Yet, God's plan for my redemption was greater.
I lived a life consumed by sin, driven by impulses beyond my control. My grandmother found satisfaction in my descent, yet God had not abandoned me. He placed people in my life as His instruments of guidance. One was a man of unwavering faith who endured persecution for Christ. At the time, I did not understand how he withstood such suffering, but later, I realized that God's strength was his endurance.
Growing up under Soviet propaganda, I was taught to despise Christians. Had I been given the right, I would have killed them without hesitation-that is how deeply the KGB instilled hatred in us. But God had a plan. He led me to His people, who guided me to Christ.
Among them was my wife, the daughter of that faithful man. Her love, patience, and purity played a crucial role in my journey. Yet, even her devotion could not save me-only God could break the chains that bound me. Through those He placed in my path, He shattered the grip of witchcraft and led me to freedom.
Looking back, I realize that without God's mercy, I would have remained in darkness. No human effort or personal will could have granted me freedom. Only the Lord opened the path to salvation, enabling me to escape from Satan's captivity and bringing me into His light.
Though my grandmother had dedicated herself to Satan, believing he had a claim over me, God's claim was infinitely stronger. As Scripture declares:
"Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me." - Isaiah 49:16 (ESV)
I belonged to God, and no force of darkness could change that truth.
This book stands as a testimony to the living, almighty God who reigns victorious over all evil. At His name, even the most powerful forces of darkness must flee. He alone offers true freedom and eternal life.
No matter how overwhelming the darkness may seem, God's light will always break through.
As you read this book, remember: You do not have to fight alone. The devil may be strong, but God is infinitely stronger. He will never tire of fighting for you. Turn to God-He already holds the key to your freedom.
All Glory to God!
