It is because of this incompatibility that their teach ers uniformly oppose the sinner's praying for forgive ness. Praying might lead to intense earnestness in seeking Christ, and this would necessarily demand a witnessing Spirit to remove the felt condemnation.
So it must not be allowed, else the system is put in jeopardy.
