A phrase não é pretenciosa, porque esse portão symbolico, fe chado por decreto regio, desde que não fôra arrom bado pela revolução do Minho, só podia ser aberto por quem tinha a chave do poder executivo, para uzarmos a terminologia estravagante, que a ser ralheria emprestou aos uzos legislativos.
