In the organization of subject matter an attempt has been made to arrange it around projects suited to the abilities and interests of the pupils for whom it is intended and adapted to the successful use of well recognized methods of teaching and to the needs of the state and community. These projects, according to the nature of the sub jeci matter, lend themselves to one of the following types: type 1. In which the purpose is to embody some idea or plan in exter nal torm, as building a boat, writing a letter, presenting a play: type 2. In which the purpose is to enjoy some aesthetic experience, as listening to a story, hearing a symphony, appreciating a picture: type 3.
