Spring 1945 - Hitler's Thousand Year Reich was crumbling, dissolving in a welter of blood, panic and death. Refugees and deserters fled from the terrible advance of the Russian armies. In the vanguard of that merciless army stormed Colonel Piotr's Guards Punishment Battalion - the desperate, expendable scrapings of the Siberian prison camps.
