Publisher's Synopsis
Encyclopaedia of Air Pollution Control Equipments Selection, Design, Operation and Maintenance gives a practical preview of sustainable air pollution management. In first chapter, we examine the rapid development of green space change in the Taipei Metropolitan Area, and the impact of green space change on air pollution and on the microclimate. The aim of second chapter is to analyze environmental data gathered on the daily monitoring of ambient ozone, oxides of nitrogen, and sulfur (IV) oxide at five monitoring sites in Lagos and four monitoring sites in Ilorin, Nigeria. Third chapter analyzes the air pollution reduction policies' impact on the node enterprises of the thermal coal supply chain by comparing trends of key model factors with and without policy influence. Fourth chapter reviews developmental challenges confronting African countries with specific reference to the availability of potable water, sanitation, energy, water and ambient air. Fifth chapter aims to find the causes of the current severe air quality and explore the possible solutions by comparing China's air pollution regulations to that of the post London Killer Smog of 1952, in the United Kingdom (UK). Theoretical investigations on mapping mean distributions of particulate matter, inert, reactive, and secondary pollutants from wildfires by unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) have been performed in sixth chapter. The purpose of seventh chapter is to evaluate an indoor air pollution (IAP) intervention in rural areas in Gansu, one of the poorest provinces of China. Eighth chapter aims to analyze the geographic distribution of air pollutant concentrations in Basra Province, Southern Iraq, and to cartographically determine the spatial variation of air pollution levels as well as to recognize the hottest spots of air pollution. Ninth chapter focuses on the importance of personal exposure assessment to air pollution based on spatial and temporal activity patters both indoors and outdoors. Tenth chapter deals with trace metals concentrations at the atmosphere particulate matters in the Southeast Asian mega city. The influence of eddy diffusivity variation on the atmospheric diffusion equation has been discussed in last chapter.
