Excerpt from Elements of Literature: Or, an Introduction to the Study of Rhetoric and Belles Lettres
District of Delaware, to wit:
Be it remembered, that on the twenty-second day of February, Anne Domini 1849, Eustace A. Ansley, of the said district, hath deposited in this office the title of a book, the tide of which is in the words following, to wit: "Elements of Literature; or, an Introduction to the Study of Rhetoric and Belles Lettres. By E. A. Ansley, A.M. Quid quid praecipies, esto brevis. - Hor." The right whereof he claims as author, in conformity with an Act of Congress, entitled, "An Act to amend the several Acts respecting Copy-rights."
