Communication is the process of transfer of information from a sender to a receiver. The figure shows a basic structure of a communication system. The transmitter converts the information into signals suitable for the communication channel. While the signals propagate through the channel, noise signals arise. These signals along with noise will reach the receiver end, where the message signal is filtered from the transmitted signal along with noise. To some extent, the noise signals can be filtered out and the message signal can be reproduced.
