Publisher's Synopsis
This work aims to make widely available in English translation the hierogylphic inscriptions contained in the last three parts of W. Helck's "Urkunden der 18 Dynastie". These include many of the most important historical sources for the 18th Dynasty in Egypt, the classic texts of Amenophis III, the inscriptions of Akhenaten, the "heretic pharaoh", and of the boy king Tutankhamen, and fundamental decrees, from the reign of Horemhab. Combined with the three previous fascicles issued by Barbara Cummings, these three fascicles provide fluent English versions of the major sources for Egypt at the climax of her imperial history.
