Publisher's Synopsis
This book consists of contributions to the second 'Information Management in Social Services' conference, in November 1996. There are three strands to the contributions included within this volume. One group concentrates upon lessons learnt from experience of implementing information systems to address specific organizational needs. The second group looks at approaches that can successfully address one of the major information needs at the current time, obtaining useful information to inform service planning. Finally, two contributions consider the management of information in social services in national and international contexts.
