This book explores the feasible methods of resource mobilization for a developing economy like India for the purpose of development that lies in the instrument of additional taxation measures. The book looks into the issues of fiscal anomalies of state's taxation from a broader perspective. An attempt is made in this work to apply six indicators to assess and to ascertain the efficacy of the state's tax system. The indicators are: buoyancy and Elasticity, th ecompound growth rate and marginal tax rate, the tax ration and tax effort. About Author : Dr. B. Mishra is Reader in Economics, North-Easten Hill University, Shilong. He obtained his Master degree and Doctorate degree in Applied Economics from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Orissa.
