Publisher's Synopsis
Reporter Emma Frost's heart stops when her teenage daughter calls her, voice trembling with fear, and tells her that she has hit a man with her car. Emma tells Maya she has to call the police, and to let her know as soon as they arrive - but she never hears from Maya again. The police tell Emma that Maya has gone missing and is now wanted for attempted murder. Pushed to her breaking point, Emma furiously insists that her little girl would never have left a man to die on the road. Tears stream down her face as she realizes that if Maya has disappeared, someone must have taken her. But who would kidnap Maya, and why?
