Publisher's Synopsis
Food is personal and intimate. Although the phrase "you are what you eat" is frequently used to signify eating something less than healthy, in my opinion, it illustrates how each meal we consume fuels and powers our body. In addition, the emotional response of smelling and tasting food fuels our soul. The magical ability of food to transform our mood is what drives a cook. It's what pushes us to make dishes that will not only sustain life, but that will also magnify the emotional well-being of those we serve the dishes to. With each bite, our attention and love are incorporated into the bodies and spirits of those we choose to share our food with.
