Publisher's Synopsis
The core of wellbeing lies in the relationship we have with our 'true' Self-rather than the persona-self we present to the world. That's why I give so much credence to anything that, firstly, can inform us about the Self and help us to understand it better, and, secondly, anything that canimprove our relationship with the Self. Flower essence therapy (FET), meditation, and emotion-focused therapy (EFT) enhance emotional intelligence and awareness and so change how we feel about ourselves in positive and permanent ways. Viewing ourselves more deeply shifts our primary attention from what is wrong with us to what is right with us, and to the inner resources we already possess.
My intent in this book is to hold up a holistic lens that brings into focus a multidimensional view of your Self. The therapies listed above, with their practical, natural, emotion-focused approach, help us heal and harness our emotional nature so that our full and unconditional potential can be realised.
The author
*As a therapist, Mark's approach is above all else holistic, and his empathic understanding supports and comforts his clients. He identifies the root causes of their physical health issues. He then draws on his expertise and decades of experience in multiple health modalities to enable clients to attain physical and emotional health and wellbeing.
Mark has a special interest in the health of highly sensitive persons (HSPs). As an HSP himself, he gains great satisfaction from assisting other HSPs, both adults and children, to live physically and mentally healthy, contented, and productive lives that make room for their sensitivity and respect their depth of feeling and perception.
