The author examines the content and impact of the various measures taken by the EEC and the effect of the Environment Articles of the EEC Treaty. This book seeks to clarify current policy by dividing the protection measures into various categories such as water, air, noise, waste and conservation. In each case, the author analyzes the scope and interpretation of existing Community and national regulations and the interaction between the two levels of legislation. The drafting stages of each article are considered. The book is intended to offer an insight into the policy of Community practice and the Community's approach to protecting the environment.
