Drying '91

This book deals with the fundamental, as well as the applied, aspects of drying and dewatering in all industrial sectors, e.g. chemical, textile, pharmaceutical, agricultural and food industry, pulp and paper processing, wood drying, minerals processing, drying of gels and dispersions, processing of polymers, ceramics and other advanced materials, and biotechnological product processing. It deals with novel drying technologies, energy savings, numerical simulation, modelling and control of dryers, environmental aspects, humidity measurement and control, quality considerations, theoretical aspects and mathematical modelling of drying, kinetic studies and advanced dewatering technologies.;This volume contains keynote lectures and selected papers from the 7th International Drying Symposium, held in Prague in August 1990 in conjunction with CHISA '90. The papers have been edited and revised where necessary to bring them up to date.
