This book is designed for drummers, drum teachers and drum students. It enables you to get down on paper your ideas, exercises and drum patterns, as well as any other notated sections you need for your practice or your performances. Each page has a set of drum notation grids and a set of musical staves that are left unlabelled so that you can insert your own counts and drum kit items. The drum notation grids are ideal for those not familiar with manuscript stave notation and can provide a quick visual guide for learning new patterns. Use them to design progressive practice exercises or to copy your favourite patterns quickly and easily. The pages are arranged in rhythm sections of 8, 16, and 12 format so that you can include material in eighth notes in 4/4, 16th notes in 4/4, eighth note triplets, 12/8, and 6/8.
