This book is devised as a guide for tourists visiting the area around the outside border of the Palatine Hill and and Roman Forum. It provides a brief overview of the history, development, and complexity of this sphere of ancient Rome. Black & white pictures are provided of each ancient ruin with a short description. It is not meant to be a scholarly work but rather conveys a general understanding and provides some assistance in helping one to plan a trip to see these ancient monuments. Very easy to use and understand. It also has two companion books "The Roman Forum" and "The Palatine Hill."
