Historian and Author Thomas D. Perry writes a follow up to his book on his father, Eriesistible: Reflections on my father, Erie Meredith Perry about his mother nicknamed Doodely: Reflections On My Mother, Betty Jane Hobbs Perry. The title comes from a nickname her father gave her. After losing both his parents early in 2021, Perry started a scholarship for high students at his alma mater, Patrick County High School to honor his parents. Proceeds from both books are donated to the scholarship.
