Publisher's Synopsis
Hovland is a lakeside town in Minnesota that has all sorts of myths and legends. But none are more mythic than Jeorjyne Micha and her daughter, Jami.
Escaping an abusive household, Jeorjyne and Jami flee Ireland and make their way to Hovland, hoping for a new life. There, they begin to integrate with the locals, learning about the Native stories and how things are done in this quaint Minnesota town. Only things aren't as they seem to be. Dark, sinister forces are at play back not only into a past they were lucky to escape the first time, but into a past they know nothing about. Jeorjyne is the long-lost daughter of Hade, God of the Underworld. Used as a pawn against her father, Jeorjyne was kidnapped years ago and hidden away with her powers bound. Now, she has to face creatures she thought only existed in her nightmares, both literally and figuratively, if she hopes to save those she loves as well as everyone else in this new home she and her daughter are creating for themselves.
