Publisher's Synopsis
These are my memoirs of living through a childhood with undiagnosed autism. The book examines the prejudices faced in the period that I grew up and how I was treated by members of my family.
The aim is for the reader to understand what it is to grow up with autism but at the same time see what it is like when that process is without any support and in a dysfunctional family environment. Other readers who have autism may hopefully be able to relate and compare with their own life experiences.
There are bits of humour and also heartache but for me this is closure which I hope can help others.
