Publisher's Synopsis
Dom is a poltergeist who likes to haunt electrical equipment, so really he is an electrogeist. By chance he arrives in the house of young Mark, a solitary, lonely boy who loves ghost films and is sensitive to the unusual. Dom is not a scary ghost; he is mischievous and fun-loving, and is pleased to make friends with Mark. He takes great delight in making things go wrong, especially common appliances like dishwashers, shavers, CD players and hairdryers, and then watching the consequences. Let loose in a supermarket, Dom almost causes a riot! But soon he finds that Mark needs help. Mark has low selfconfidence and is not doing well at school. Little seems to go right for him. He needs the aid of a real friend, and this provides a special challenge for both he and Dom. The novel can easily be read by individual children, but it is intended to be read by adults to children in the 7 to 11 age group.
