Publisher's Synopsis
Sweet Pea, a seven year old Rottweiler, is diagnosed with cancer. Through poem and pictures, the author reflects on the pending loss of his beloved companion. Through the eyes of our dogs we see love.
I have a B.A. in Elementary Education, a M.Ed. in Educational Psychology and post-graduate credits in Alcoholism Counseling. I was an elementary school teacher for 33 years. I also worked as a certified personal trainer. Current interests include rehabbing houses in various stages of disrepair, going to the gym, and walking my Rottweiler, Elyse. I wrote this poem the day I found out Sweet Pea had cancer... I think of her every day.
