Hafeez O. A. Taqi, a 20-year-old final year Bachelor of Law student at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, discovered his passion for reading and writing at an early age. Born in Tehran, Iran, and raised partly in Cambridge, England, before returning to Sierra Leone with his family, Hafeez benefited from exposure to diverse literary traditions. With encouragement from his family and teachers, he developed a deep understanding of literature and began writing short stories across various genres, winning both inter-secondary and national writing competitions.
This collection of stories and poems represents years of dedication, having undergone numerous revisions before reaching its current form. Beyond his literary pursuits, Hafeez maintains diverse interests including sports, exercise, learning the acoustic guitar, watching anime, and reading-with particular fondness for J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series and Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series.
