This book focuses upon digital networking to include the advantages and disadvantages associated with digital signalling, the operation and utilization of communications carrier offerings, the frame formats of high speed North American and European T-carriers, the features and operational utilization of T-carrier multiplexers and the methods by which digital facilities can be tested. Each area is investigated in a hierarchical manner, with each chapter building upon the material presented in the preceding chapter. It is primarily designed as a textbook for advanced students completing a course in data communications or for graduate students in telecommunications or computer science.
