Publisher's Synopsis
The complexity of nursing takes on concrete form in the experience of the nursing situation - for all those involved in it and, to some extent, beyond. Nevertheless, comparatively little research has been done on the nursing situation "per se". This seems paradoxical, since care takes place millions of times a day. The present study attempts to approach nursing action orientation on the methodological basis of facet theory and with the help of multidimensional scaling (MDS). In the clinical setting, nurses and patients are equally involved.
