Das vorliegende Werk wurde kurz vor dem Kriege vollendet. Die Aufnahme war so gunstig, da der erste Band schon wahrend des Krieges vergriffen war. Leider konnte die zweite Au?age, weil das deutsche Verlagsgeschaft mit auerordentlichen Schwierigkeiten zu kampfen hat, nicht sofort erscheinen, so da das vollstandige Werk langere Zeit im Buchhandel fehlte.
