This new translation of the Book of Revelation is the first German translation that is consistently oriented towards 1st century A. D.-Koine-Greek without regard to ecclesiastical and confessional translation habits. The Revelation of St. John is presented here by the cooperation of a theologian and a classical scholar in a very precise translation, which will afford a lot of new insights into this very complex and difficult text. The method of translation is explained in the introduction; an epilogue presents some new and interesting starting points for the interpretation.
