Die Einheit der Berechnung bildet die Lagerlinie eines Manipels, die die Breite von 60 Fu� erh�lt. Diese Lagerlinie hei�t Reihe, striga. Die beiden Centurien des Manipels liegen einander gegen�ber.4 Zwischen den Zeltreihen bleibt eine Stra�e von zw�lf Fu� Breite frei. Jede Centuria f�llt demnach mit ihren Zelten, Waffen, Tragtieren und dem ihr zugemessenen Teil der Stra�e die H�lfte der Striga, das Hemistrigium, dessen Breite 30 Fu� betr�gt. Taf. I, Fig. 1.
